Another life cut short

I found out from my son last night that the father of a friend with whom he had attended grammar school had died. He leaves behind his wife and two sons, aged about fifteen and thirteen.

What a tragedy. It reminds me again of how we must value friends and relatives and family while they are with us. They could be gone at any time and all of the things that we would have liked to say to them will go unsaid. All of the things we would have liked to do with them will go undone.

It will be tough for my son's friend and his family and I wish them the best in their future lives. No child should ever lose a parent at such a young age.

  2. So very sad. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a parent at that age.
