Courtesy of Ravishing Light via The London Fog is this little cheater to make it seem like I'm actually doing something useful in my blog:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don’t search around and look for the “coolest” book you can find. Do what’s actually next to you.
OK. The sentence is: "She was too young."
Gordon Neufeld and Gabor Maté - "Hold On To Your Kids, Why Parents Matter."
I should have cheated and put in a more interesting sentence, from elsewhere in the book. But that would have been dishonest. So I did something completely out of character (follow instructions) rather than do something dishonest, regardless of the fact that fudging a bit would have had no meaningful consequence to anyone on the face of the earth.
Strange.
