    I don't see any benefit that can ever come from knuckling under to tyrants.
    One compromise will embolden the oppressor to demand more, and whatever bribes are initially offered are altered or renigged after agreement.

  2. This whole thing is ridiculous. Marc caved in primarily because one of his co-defendents, a woman who has Crohn's disease, would have ended up suffering badly, or even dying in jail.

    The world is truly a screwed up place.
