Roca Milagro is born

No more Stonehedge Estates. After much discussion among the partners, we have decided on a Spanish name for our residential community in the mountains of Panama. It will now be called Roca Milagro. That's Rock Miracle, in English.

Anyone interested in seeing photographs of the site, near Rovira Arriba and Boquete, can follow this link. There is nothing man-made there yet, just raw beauty. Actually, all of the rock walls are man-made, but they look so natural we'll pretend that when Volcan Baru spewed forth the individual rocks, they were somehow miraculously assembled by nature into the structures that wander throughout the Roca Milagro site.

We are a long way from starting on building infrastructure. We need to complete developing a site plan and to get official approvals, etc., but we are making progress. My good friend Perry D'Elia designed the new Roca Milagro logo. I love it. He does good work. If anyone out there needs a good designer/artist for any advertising or marketing project, let me know. I'll put you in touch with him.

It has been a crazy week here. I am looking forward to settling down for a long weekend, spending some time with my family, and maybe taking a short road trip or two. It is good to unwind, and a change of scenery is sometimes all it takes to get out of the go-go-go mode into a healthier, more relaxed attitude.

I would like to wish everyone a great Canada Day weekend, and for our American friends, a great July 4th celebration.

Enjoy the sun, the company of friends and family, and be safe out there.
