Lady-g -- I have a number of relatives who lived in Russia and Poland during the communist years. They didn't like it. Those people here, who idealize communism wouldn't like it much either. It's easy to be rhapsodic about something when you have hot water and toilet paper, when you aren't living ten people to a two bedroom apartment, and your kids have enough to eat.The Atavisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12529157597486952484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6931353.post-62147884823638180812007-09-26T05:19:00.000-04:002007-09-26T05:19:00.000-04:00This is a topic that gets under my skin. Then we'll see how they like the "right to everything".

I would have to agree with you and Bellezza, I would take the high road. I'm not known as the rebel or radical for nothing. :o)Lady G~https://www.blogger.com/profile/09097642669166657986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6931353.post-42153415827049480882007-09-25T21:21:00.000-04:002007-09-25T21:21:00.000-04:00There is no choice for me: ONLY the high road. Just about everyone would agree that if out of three people, two vote to take something away from the third, it would be a criminal act. Somehow, if 200 million people (or much fewer, usually) decide to deprive the other hundred million of their money or their freedom, it is deemed OK. I don't get it.The Atavisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12529157597486952484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6931353.post-62127548690731689922007-09-23T19:00:00.000-04:002007-09-23T19:00:00.000-04:00It's amazing how short the road is from a gift to ...It's amazing how short the road is from a gift to a manufactured "right", then to a government-mandated "entitlement"!
The "safe" road down moves very quickly.TheWayfarerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15074292938877766871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6931353.post-84358444477381546772007-09-22T09:05:00.000-04:002007-09-22T09:05:00.000-04:00Thanks for your kind words, Lin. It would appear that we are currently getting our share of education on the nebulous nature of rights in regards to real property.
